Aikido Seminar on April 7-10, 2017 and 50th anniversary of Atlanta Center of Aikido, when my husband asked us to come with him and go to Atlanta, GA. So we packed our bags and went to Atlanta on that week.
The trip from Arkansas to Georgia took about 7 hrs. We had to stopover to our cousin’s place in TN and drove 4 hours at least going to Decatur, GA the next day.
Before going to Atlanta, we booked a private apartment in Decatur, GA which where the Avondale Estates is located at. We had a very nice apartment, with a very nice host named Angie. She had been helpful and informative on how to get around Atlanta and Decatur specially for first timers.
We arrived around 6pm on April 7, 2017 at Aikido Center of Atlanta in Avondale Estates, Decatur, GA. We were welcomed by the practitioners of the art and went to our apartment.
Feels like home!
Since this is a weekend trip, we only brought minimal stuff for the baby, daddy and me. We brought at least 4 clothes for each of us. And for the baby’s stuff? We packed the following:
- Baby wipes
- 6 pieces of clothes
- At least 20 diapers
- Gerber pick me up snacks
- Water – yep he needed it
So we went to Atlanta Downtown the next day – with just me and my baby.
This trip is also my first time driving in a bigger city on 5 lanes. Travelling with a baby is a bit exhausting but rewarding in the end. I drove it like a pro.
